Biography
Peeter Lorents (PhD) is a professor at the Estonian Business School. He graduated from Tallinn University in 1974 with a degree in mathematics and defended his candidate’s thesis in physics and mathematics at the Faculty of Mathematics of Leningrad State University (St. Petersburg University) in 1981. He has also been a member of the Riigikogu (Estonian Parliament) and worked as an advisor to the Minister of Education and the Prime Minister.
From 2006 to 2012, he participated in the work of the NATO Cooperative Cyber Defence Centre of Excellence, which aims to develop NATO doctrines, provide expert advice on cyber defence, and conduct actual technical cyber surveillance.
