The article introduces an approach for analyzing similarities in fears. This method relies on descriptive similarity, assuming that situations can be articulated through a series of statements. These statements are analyzed using Algebraic system theory. The authors present key findings from their assessment of fear similarities. They note that the group associated with business (Group 10) exhibits the lowest coefficient similarity among the groups. Additionally, they identify at least two similar cases where fears, such as losing everything and losing personnel, are equated. Furthermore, two distinct fears are highlighted within each group: physical loss of regional centers and financial losses. The authors raise the question of whether statements like losing work and losing everything can be equated. They emphasize the important role of Lauri Tabur’s table in standardizing fear statements, which aids in mitigating fears during the equating process. Moreover, the table proves instrumental in guiding participants through structured problem-solving steps, especially in crisis scenarios marked by time constraints. This approach can also assist organizational leaders in addressing employee fears effectively, thereby averting rash or uninformed decisions.
